Welcome back to the newsletter of my website ReyCD PHOTOS. This is your friend Reynaldo Cruz Díaz, and I am hereby sending you all the second issue of the newsletter. As I stated before, I will be sharing news and information about my life in photography while trying to make a positive impact in the Connecticut community.

I would first like to apologize to those who follow my website constantly because I only made one post in the month of May. Excuses aside, the last month of school was pretty intense for me, while I also navigated through the end of the translations of a book for the Society for American Baseball Research, which was on a tight deadline. Therefore, I redeemed myself by making three posts in June.

Summer is here, and I am more than willing to help anyone immortalize their moments. Whether wanting a private portrait session, or a family photo session, I am open to making it happen. There are incredible spots to photograph all around the state, and some of them are hidden gems.

Whether spreading the word about me to potential clients, or simply clicking on the links and accessing my website, or simply liking and commenting my social media posts, your support is crucial. Something as small as taking a few minutes to read a post or referring me to someone you know in need of a photographer, can go miles for me.

So, if you are receiving this, make sure you try at least one of those little things every week. It will mean a lot. It will be a small action for you, but a big deal for me.

• I would like to announce the future creation to a members page. Such a page will only be visible to those of you who have subscribed to my website and receive this newsletter. If you are subscribed to the website, and getting and opening the newsletter, you will be given special services. However, this remains a project for now, as the page and the subpages attached to it are still in the works, so the timeline is still undetermined.

• In May, I became a member of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), in an attempt to get the attention of media outlets that might need the services of a photojournalist.

• This past month, I finally managed to do a session with Arya, the three-year-old daughter of my friends Yasel and Kiara. The pictures came up really nice, and some of them will soon be inside my portraits gallery. Kudos to her mother Kiara Gonzalez and our friend Alicia Diaz for all the support and the assistance while taking these photos.

• One of the things I will be doing this summer includes games at the Hartford Yard Goats, which will encompass the Chivos Nights, honoring Hispanic communities in Connecticut. I am currently working closely with the team to organize a Cuban night (banner above), set up for August 1. So if you are in the area, do your best to attend!

• I am also making an open call to get help in networking with any Hispanic-owned business that you know of, or any Hispanic person who is making a difference in their community. This is to be featured for free in my #CTHispanicWatch, a social media campaign that I launched in 2024 with the objective of promoting and highlighting the work of Spanish-speaking people or descendants of Hispanics, who are working to make Connecticut a better place. So, anyone who knows of any Hispanics or Hispanic-owned businesses helping the Connecticut community grow, please put me in touch with them.

• In addition, I would like to have you all spread the word about the possibility of putting me in touch with people who would like their creative portraits taken for free. I will be doing some TFP (time for photos) sessions this summer.

• In the latest post of the website, I launched a call to all amateur and professional photographers in Connecticut, mainly in the Hartford-Farmington counties, to join the 24HourProject, which will be held this year on Saturday, September 13. This will be my fifth participation, and my second as an ambassador for Connecticut.
